The Romanian Patriarch expected to visit Republic of Moldova

In September 2007 Patriarch Teoctist is expected by all belivers of Bessarabia to visit the Metropolitanate having the seed in Balti, and being under the jurisdiction of Romanian Patriarchate since 1992. The Metropolitanate is lead by Metropolitan Petru who re-established the old Romanian Orthodox jurisdiction after the fall of Communism in Eastern Europe. Until 1992 the Orthodox Church in Bessarabia, during the whole Communist rule, was subject to Moskow Jurristdiction, and even now the Russian Patriarchate is keeping a Metropolitanate, lead by Metropolitan Vladimir, for Russian speaking people in the Republic of Moldova.
