New Ecumenical Book on Christian Martyres during the Communiste Regime

On 3rd of April 2007 the Bible Missionary and Publishing House of the Romanian Patriarchate published the book „Martyrs for Christ in Romania”, a study with ecumenical approach concerning 240 Orthodox, Roman-Catholics and Evangelical, of diverse professions (bishops, priests, teachers, lawyers, engineers, peasants and students), who died during the Communist regime for the only reason they refuse to give up their faith and cease their Christian action.

Among Orthodox, Roman-Catholic and Evangelical CA representatives, historians and a delegation from St. Gerhard Foundation that supported the project participated in.

Orthodox Hierarchs ask for Political Peace

On 28 of March 2007 the Orthodox Hierarchs of Transylvania gather together and issued publicly a statement asking the political parties to make peace and let aside the personal interests. At the same time, they concluded that the last thing the politicians in Romania do is to think and act for those that mandated them during elections, namely the people.
